SUPPORT FOR YOUR HEALTH, WELLBEING AND WORK
Free Nature & Wellbeing Courses through WorkWell West and We are BS15.
When you're struggling with your health, work can feel much harder.
Whether you're out of work because of your health, off sick, or finding it difficult to stay in work, we're here to help.
Through WorkWell West, We are BS15 offers free nature and wellbeing courses designed to improve your wellbeing, build confidence, reduce isolation and help you take positive steps towards staying in work or returning to work.
How We can help
Your own work and health coach
You'll have the option to be matched with a dedicated Work & Health Coach who will listen, understand your situation and work with you to create a plan that's right for you.
They'll support you every step of the way and can help you overcome barriers that may be affecting your work.
Health & Wellbeing Support
Your coach can connect you with local services and support that meets your needs, including healthcare, community groups, training, financial advice and much more.
Wellbeing in Nature with We are BS15
Our friendly nature and wellbeing groups use time outdoors, practical activities and social connection to help improve wellbeing, build confidence and help you feel more like yourself again.
Before each course starts, Nicky will speak to everyone who's interested to find out what they'd enjoy, what they'd like to get from the sessions, and the best days and times to meet.
She'll then use those conversations to plan a programme around the interests and needs of the people taking part. Every course is different because every group is different.
Ideas may include
Gentle walks and exploring local green spaces
Gardening and growing fruit, vegetables and flowers
Creating spaces that support birds, insects and other wildlife
Learning how nature works together
Nature-inspired crafts and creative activities
Nature photography
Practical outdoor projects
Tea, coffee and time to chat
Trying new things and learning new skills
Extra support when it's helpful
As each course develops, we can invite local health and wellbeing professionals to join sessions when it would benefit the group.
For example, if people would like to know more about topics such as neurodiversity, menopause, stress and anxiety, healthy eating, sleep, staying active or managing a long-term health condition, we can invite nurses, pharmacists, social prescribers and other local specialists to come along for an informal chat.
They can answer questions, offer advice and, if you'd like, help you access other services that may be useful.
