IS YOUR HEALTH AFFECTING YOUR WORK?

When you're struggling with your health, work can feel much harder.

Whether you're out of work because of your health, off sick or finding it difficult to stay in work, we're here to help.

Spending time in nature can be a great way to support your health and wellbeing. Getting outdoors, being active, learning new skills and connecting with other people can help reduce stress, build confidence and create a bit of space from the pressures of everyday life.

How We are BS15 and WorkWell West Can Help

Your own Work and Health Coach

You'll have the option to be matched with a dedicated Work & Health Coach who will listen, understand your situation and work with you to create a plan that's right for you.

They'll support you every step of the way and can help you overcome barriers that may be affecting your work.

Health & Wellbeing Support

Your coach can connect you with local services and support that meets your needs, including healthcare, community groups, training, financial advice and much more.

Nature Matters

Our friendly Nature Matters course use time outdoors, practical activities and social connection to help improve wellbeing, build confidence and help you feel more like yourself again.

Before each course starts, Nicky will speak to everyone who's interested to find out what they'd enjoy and what they'd like to get from the sessions.

She'll then use those conversations to plan a programme around the interests and needs of the people taking part. Every course is different because every group is different.

Activities may include:

🌿  Gentle walks and exploring local green spaces

🌱  Gardening and growing fruit, vegetables and flowers

🦋  Creating spaces that support birds, insects and other wildlife

🎨  Nature-inspired crafts and creative activities

💚  Trying new things and learning new skills

☕  Tea, coffee and time to chat

Extra Support when it's Helpful

As each course develops, we can invite local health and wellbeing professionals to join sessions when it would benefit the group.

For example, if people would like to know more about topics such as menopause, stress and anxiety, healthy eating, sleep or managing a long-term health condition, we can invite nurses, pharmacists, social prescribers and other local specialists to come along for an informal chat.

They can answer questions, offer advice and, if you'd like, help you access services that may be useful
