4PCN Leg Club
We are BS15 are very excited to be working with 4PCN (Hanham Health, Kingswood Health Centre, Cadbury Heath Healthcare, and Close Farm Surgery) to deliver the Leg Club. The project started on 1st July 2025 and is already making a real difference in the community. The club is currently only open to patients of Hanham Health and Kingswood Health Centre, but we plan to expand to other surgeries soon.
What is a Leg Club?
Leg Clubs follow a nationally recognised model of care developed by the Lindsay Leg Club Foundation. They provide treatment, health promotion, education, and ongoing care for people with leg and foot conditions, such as leg ulcers.
What makes a Leg Club different is the social model of care. Instead of visiting a traditional clinic, members receive their treatment in a community setting alongside others. This helps reduce isolation, encourages peer support, and creates a friendly, welcoming environment where people feel supported as well as cared for.
You can find out more about the national Leg Club model on the Lindsay Leg Club Foundation website.
