Double Award Winners

Last week we had the absolute honour of attending the South Gloucestershire Council Chair’s Community Awards – and we’re still smiling because We Are BS15 came home with TWO awards

Group Award – We Are BS15

This award recognises our community-led work across Kingswood and Hanham, bringing people together through food, connection and care. From Kingswood Kitchen and Food Club, to Trinity Food Garden, The Beacon Café and Leg Club, everything we do is about reducing isolation, tackling inequality and helping people feel supported, valued and part of their community.

Individual Award – Vicky Robinson (Co-Founder)

Vicky was recognised for her tireless leadership, determination and unwavering belief in the power of community. From the early days of the Covid support group to growing We Are BS15 into what it is today, she leads with heart, grit and a lot of hard graft – always putting people first.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate us and for seeing the good work happening in BS15. And the biggest thank you of all goes to our 100 incredible volunteers – none of this happens without you. These awards belong to every single one of you.
