COOKS & KITCHEN ASSISTANTS

As a Cafe Cook, you’ll step into the bustling kitchen to create culinary magic for our customers. You’ll be cooking made-to-order breakfasts, lunches, and snacks while strictly adhering to Health & Safety and Food Safety policies. Beyond the stove, your role extends to food preparation, closing down the kitchen, and maintaining impeccable cleanliness. Your culinary skills will play a significant role in defining the culinary identity of The Beacon Cafe.

Joining us as a Cafe Assistant means immersing yourself in the heart of our community hub. Your responsibilities span a wide range, from taking customer orders and serving delicious food and beverages to clearing tables, washing dishes, and actively contributing to the warm and inviting ambiance. This role offers a unique opportunity to be an integral part of our dynamic team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the cafe.

The Beacon Cafe is an inclusive community cafe that operates on a unique “Pay-as-you-can” donation basis. Our mission is to tackle food inequality, reduce waste, and combat social isolation.
